Real aircraft. Real builds. Real flights. Documenting every project from initial design through construction and first flight.
Our first real club flights — assembling and flying the FlightTest FT Explorer foam board trainer, alongside a set of 3D-printed aircraft. These sessions gave us hands-on experience with aircraft assembly, CG balancing, control surface setup, and hand-launch techniques before ever turning on the transmitter.
A collaborative intro course led by the President and Vice President of the Baylor University Aerospace Club. Members were walked through the fundamentals of computer-aided design — from reading engineering drawings and setting up a workspace, to modeling basic components from scratch. The session gave the club a foundation for designing parts in-house for future projects.
